Welcome to Bhutan
The kingdom of Bhutan is a land locked country located at the foot hills of the eastern of the Himalayas. This pristine untouched land is one of the most beautiful hidden kingdoms in the world. This raw natural environment is home to 741,822 Bhutanese and the national language that is spoken is Dzonkha although English is spoken widely across the country. Bhutan is the only country in the world that refuses to be measured by GDP but to be only to be calculated in GNH (Gross National Happiness) focusing on the well being of the people in the country. Bhutan first let tourists into the country in 1974, so tourism in Bhutan is relatively new yet very sustainable and controlled due to the countries strict tourism policies.
